Dreaming of Disney princess hair, but your long hair is giving you a hard time? That's normal. The longer your hair, the more susceptible it is to breakage. Let us explain how to care for your long hair and build your daily routine with you.
First of all, you need to have a routine at home with quality products that meet the needs of your hair (hydration, repair, shine, suppleness, etc.) with a shampoo, conditioner and mask. Also, you can add a leave-in treatment and a serum to make your hair routine super effective. To use all these products wisely, you need to know the difference between each product and what the benefits of each are in order to better understand their interests.
1. Shampoo
Beyond removing excess sebum from your scalp, shampoo can help you address many issues: dry or oily scalp, sensitive, itchy... For all these issues, other articles can answer your many questions. Its action with water will open the scales of your hair and get rid of all the impurities present in your hair fiber and at the root (pollution, dust, etc.) and thus prepare your hair to receive its daily care.

The shampoo should only be applied to the roots; there is no need to rub the lengths. At the risk of drying out your hair and weakening your hair fiber.
If you want to space out your shampoos, you can also apply dry shampoo the day after your shampoo. The earlier you do it, the better, because the sebum will be more easily absorbed by the product.
2. The mask
It is recommended to apply a mask to these lengths after your shampoo. But be careful, there is no point in leaving it on for too long. Leave your mask on your hair for 10 to 30 minutes maximum, then rinse. Your hair can become tired from being overworked by your masks and daily treatments. This is called "hygral fatigue" and therefore devitalize your hair fiber, which is why you should leave your treatments on, but not for too long. This will not multiply their effects. It is recommended to use a mask once or twice a week.
The mask should be done after your shampoo before applying your conditioner and not the other way around!
3. Conditioner
Once your scalp and lengths are clean and your mask is rinsed, it's time to apply your conditioner . It is recommended to use a conditioner, because they help to restabilize the pH of your hair and thus protect it from external aggressions (such as pollution, friction, etc.). Localize the application on the lengths and ends. Hair, unlike the skin, is a dead matter and does not rehydrate itself like the skin with the collagen it produces naturally, hence the importance of caring for your hair using a conditioner. Leave on for one to two minutes on your lengths then rinse. The key to shiny, supple and easy to detangle hair!
4. Leave-in treatments
Leave-in treatments are essential in your routine! They should therefore be applied to hair that is still damp after showering. They will also nourish and protect your hair and provide suppleness and shine once the hair is dry. More complete than a classic detangler, its action is reinforced by all the active ingredients that compose it. Some leave-in treatments are anti-frizz, waterproof, curl defining, etc.
It's up to you to choose the leave-in treatment that best suits your hair type!
5. The serum
Serums , thanks to their concentrated composition, protect against external aggressions, strengthen the hair fiber, reduce frizz and bring a silky touch and shine to your hair. To be applied in small quantities on damp hair just before drying, it is to be applied on the lengths and ends evenly. Once applied, your hair is ready to be dried!
Your routine should be adapted according to the needs of your hair and its type (fine, thick, curly, etc.). You can carry out a complete routine once or twice a week and alternate the use of products the rest of the time so as not to overload your hair fiber.
